Another Victory!

Since I'm in a horrible cycle of not sleeping at night, taking an afternoon nap (sometimes) and then getting some sort of second wind after the boys are in bed, I find that my evenings fluctuate between exhaustion and productivity.  Tonight is one of those invigorating, productive nights.  SO, you get to hear about it!

There are a few areas in my house that I frequently think, "I need to clean...."  I know most of them wouldn't take that long, but for whatever reason, these tasks seem to be ones that will require more than average effort.  The result:  I put them off and put them off. One of these tasks is cleaning BEHIND and UNDER our kitchen appliances.  Like the big ones...stove, refrigerator, dishwasher.

BUT, tonight I just decided, it's time!  So, as I pulled them out and held back my gag reflex, I immediately knew this was a good chore for my burst o' energy.  Of course, I know this is a great thing to do at least once a year, but I can't remember a time that I've done it since we moved in almost 3 years ago.  I faintly remember a time sometime during the first year, but that may be another delusion like the cleaning out of the medicine bin.

I refuse to think I'm the dirtiest person ever (but maybe I am), so if you are like me and you keep thinking I'll do this...whenever.  Take the plunge!  Pull them out and feel the victory!  This, like so many of my other much put off cleaning tasks was over SUPER quick.  I think the whole process has probably taken 30 minutes and I CLEANED.....floor, walls, baseboards, backs and sides of appliances. And, still in just the time it would take you to watch your favorite installment of whatever your favorite show is.

So you can truly appreciate the madness, I'm including a before and after picture of the refrigerator.  I should've done this for the stove because I found a baking sheet, a half eaten sandwich, half of a donut, a piece of candy, at least 4 hot wheels car, and MUCH dirt...how do these things get under there?!?!?
