Weird Science Birthday Party

Roman is almost 7, in a little less than 24 hours, my first baby will be even older. Tonight we had his birthday party....a Weird Science Party!

I love to decorate the house for birthdays. The kids love it. My normal mode of operandi....streamers and helium balloons. Seriously, 4 rolls of streamers can really set the stage for a fun party!

Roman counts down birthdays for 364 days, so this was a HIGHLY anticipated day!
Here he is walking in to see the house after school.

Mama finishes up and Roman plays with Dane. Had to stop to get this picture. So sweet.

**INSERT**

Yummy corn dogs, mac & cheese, and science drink. 4 or so experiments. 3 successful! 1 total underperformed. 1 complete flop (we were determined to get that egg in the bottle!). This IS science....we're all about some trial and error. No photo records of this because this was the part of the party where I wished I could sprout 10 extra arms.

BUT, thanks to my three fellow scientists, we stayed sane, got all the hungry hippos fed, laughed through the crazy experiments, and got my clumsy messes cleaned! Scientists Matt, Susan, and Ernie (although he never reads this) you guys were wonderful! THANK YOU from the bottom of my test tube!

The pinata! Yeah, I thought I snagged the picture of Roman delivering the bone crushing blow, but somehow it's not here. I just tried to go back and include it. But, blogger is just not user friendly with moving pics after the fact, so sorry, I'll let you use your imagination.

Lil' munchkins hoarding the candy.

Then, .....the cake! I loved making this one!

All the scientists with their crazy faces!

Now, sweet smile scientists. Roman chose a great group of friends to share his birthday. He definitely wished his mom had 10 arms so he could've invited even more!

Can't believe this Mad Scientist is about to be 7!

What a creative idea! How did you make that cake and may I ask, with what pans?? I used to make all my kid's cakes, that was about 4 kids ago though.

Your boys are adorable!

Dena, that cake is AMAZING! I took two cake courses and don't think I could ever do that! The party looks likes like it was so much fun and Im so jealous that I couldn't attend (dumb work obligations :)) Matt had a great time and you're right thats a very sweet pic of him and the boys.
