She Loves Me.....

She Loves Me not. Tonight I was in a "choppy" mood as my sweet neighbor said. Gave our crepe myrtles a haircut. If I was a really great blogger, I would've had the brainstorm to take a before and after. Tell you the truth, I didn't think to take ANY pictures until I found Roman loving all the dejected blooms. Nothing better than popping open the closed blooms!

Now, doesn't THIS look better. Work with me, pretend like you knew what it looked like before I attacked with the clippers.

I also chopped a big ole branch off the front of our front tree, but shhhhhh....don't tell Ernie. I'm Mr. Miagi (sound out my sounded out spelling...Karate Kid, you remember), and I'm determined to train my tree. I told my neighbor, "Train up a tree in the way in should go and it will not depart from it." Whoops, no, that's children. But, I figure if it works for kids it's GOT TO work for a tree. After all, my tree's never told me NO!

For those of you worried that I've just told Ernie myself by posting this. Rest your head, I'm 99.99999% the only posts he ever sees from my blog are the ones that I insist that he see because I'm 1) amused or 2) proud. Other than that, I'm pretty sure, he's oblivious.

Have fun choppin' on your landscape!

No, I'm pretty sure he reads it. I know my husband never admitted it and now he reads EVERY post. I never have to tell him. Ernie's just pretending to not be interested so that he can score vital pieces of information.... not unlike the crape myrtle massacre.

By the way, I love that tree!!!

Oh, my husband knows about my blog, I talk about my blog constantly and yet, I don't think he even know what the page looks like because he's never been bothered to look at it!

I was so tempted to leave a comment from Ernie. I love crepe myrtles. They can get quite big. Or yard has been taken over.
