We can only hope....

this boat belongs to relatives here for the Memorial Day weekend.  Two words....boat slip?!

not too many of our tax dollars went to this little turnaround project because not even 100 feet after this new construction is ....

THIS.  A beautifully functional turn around.  Hello?  I'm pretty sure I could've found a more useful project, but that's just me.

these people are satisfied with their landscaping.  These pictures don't do it justice.  At first it looks cute, but if you look longer than a glance, you start to get dizzy.  How many trees, shrubs, flowers, seating arrangements, lawn ornaments, fences, and metal wall hangings are too many?

this THING doesn't replace the dead palm tree.  The dead palm looks bad, but seriously, when I walked by this and reached out to touch it, I shuttered.  I was certain it was going to close in on my hand and swallow me up.  If you are unsure of it's magnitude, look at it in comparison to the truck.  Seriously people.  There's gotta be something in our HOA manual about these.  Is it a cactus, an aloe vera?  If it's an aloe vera, it must've been growing for decades.  I'm fairly certain this could treat the burns of a small country.

this guy's family and friends know how neat he is!  When I was walking to get Elijah on Friday, he stopped his weedeater before I'd even crossed the road into the parking lot he was working in.  And then, he waited until I was at least 50 feet away.  He was so caring to protect me and baby from flying objects.  So, after I finished fetching Elijah, I ran home lickety split to get the camera.  I told him how much I appreciated his consideration and asked to take his picture.  This is him with his "hollywood" look (as he said :).  He took the opportunity to tell me he and a friend started their company GIG (God is Good) after they both lost their jobs recently.  I love that they didn't sit around belly aching and that God is obviously providing for them!
