What a day!

We love Easter. The main reason is because it IS the celebration of our Christ's resurrection. Without His sacrifice and victory over death, we would be lost in our sin. Praise God for his sacrificial love and our redemption through Jesus!

Right before we headed out to celebrate with our church fam....

We planned an anuual Easter egg hunt with some of our favorite neighbors and the boys could NOT wait to sport their egg searching skills!
As we waited for the "egg hour", the boys did all kinds of things. Dane drove his car...

Elijah ate string cheese and rode his bike...

Roman scooted...

Dane tried and tried to climb up the slide...

Elijah played on the fort...

Roman brainstormed for ways to use his bucket...

And, then it WAS time and the mamas strategized and hid the eggs in not one, but TWO backyards!! My beautiful hunting buddy Sarah, sported a fabulous selection of eggs and the sweetest baby Jillian I've ever seen.

Sarah's kiddos and our big yahoos were rarin' to go!

Crazy brothers :)

Ernie wrangled them in the front and then, when every egg was hidden, he gave the big kids the "GO!"

in action...

over hill and dale...

Sarah was INGENIOUS and filled four of her eggs with Cadbury Eggs. Seriously, she has newborn, 3 other kids, and STILL comes up with such a fantastical idea. I already told her I'm stealing it and using it for years to come.

So, four special eggs and her son got 3 out of the 4. What are the odds?! Roman was desperately seeking the "Golden Eggs", so Sarah was super sweet and nabbed one of them to plant for him. This is him "finding" it. It was hysterical!

And, then she stole ANOTHER one from her own son to "hide" for Elijah. I'm tellin' ya, she shares her spectacular egg hiding skills AND steals from her own kid to give to my crazies. I know I've said it before, but I looooove my neighbors.

We hope you all had a great Easter and much fun celebrating with your family and friends!
